No expense was spared and no corners were cut during this incredible build, and when you see this Coupe in person you will agree that it is an absolute ‘rolling piece of artwork’, and most likely the finest Ford Coupe that you have ever seen in your life. With less than 400 test miles on the road, it is brand new and ready to enjoy! Let me start by stating that besides the original 1931 Ford 5-Window Coupe body, every single item on this Hot Rod is brand new! No ‘used’ or ‘leftover’ parts were even considered. It all started w/ an original 1931 Ford 5-Window Coupe body w/ no rust or patch panels whatsoever. It was then chopped 3” and channeled 4” w/ all new metal floors, which were bead rolled w/ a 2” center plug weld. The roof insert is by Bobby Walden @ Walden Speed Shop and all new green tinted glass was installed. A new Brookville grill shell was used, which was chopped 2 ½” with a Dale’s SS insert. The frame is by Boling Bros. w/ a 5” sweep up front and 10” in the rear, powder coated Gloss Black, with a SoCal ’32 style cross member which was dropped 1”. Pete & Jakes supplied the shocks / headlights, Model A motor mounts, hairpins, finned aluminum brake set-up and 4-Bar Tri-angulated rear suspension. Other features include: polished Flaming River steering box, QA1 adjustable coilovers w/ chrome springs, and Posies black powder coated springs. Every component, nut & bolt is polished and looks incredible (see photos). Braking power comes from a chrome Corvette-style master cylinder w/ proportioning valve, Wilwood ¾” slave for Ram hydraulic clutch, Wilwood drilled & slotted rotors w/ polished calipers and an E-brake that works perfectly. This beautiful 1931 Ford 5-Window Coupe starts immediately w/ a flick of the wrist, and she idles, runs, shifts & performs flawlessly in every way! The power to weight ratio is pretty crazy so you can only imagine how fast she is! This is by far the best driving Hot Rod that I have ever experienced and the fun factor is through the roof! Another aspect about this Coupe is the comfort level, which is amazing. The custom interior is by Mark Lopez @ Elegance Interiors, with custom wiring by Fred’s Hot Rod Wiring. The entire interior was finished w/ Dynamat, which makes for a tight, quiet feel. I am 6’2” tall and weigh about 210 Lbs., and I fit perfectly inside this Coupe with my legs stretched out nicely. Interior features include: custom leather seats, SoCal Speed Shop dash painted body color w/ a beautiful engine-turned insert and full set of (6) Mooneyes gauges, SoCal Speed Shop light switch & ignition, Hot Rod chrome steering column w/ chrome turn-signal housing and Lime Works steering wheel, beautiful gray woven carpeting, Lokar manual shifter, drilled chrome pedals, custom roll bar powder coated gloss black, seat belt set and ultra clean custom wiring under dash. The trunk is completely finished w/ a Boyd aluminum fuel tank and custom billet battery box/ brand new Odyssey battery.
