1933 Ford 5-Window Coupe

SOLD!

Have you been searching for a vintage Ford Hot Rod, but you refuse to buy a fiberglass replica or an aftermarket steel body car such as a Brookville, Wescott, or all the others? Well, I think I have just the car for you!

‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is very proud to offer you this absolutely stunning 1933 Ford 5-Window Coupe, finished in a mirror-like Raven Black exterior wrapped around a gorgeous Deep Red leather interior. This is a real un-chopped 1933 ‘Henry Ford Steel’ car, w/ some of the best bodywork & paint that I have seen on a Hot Rod in a very long time. We were told that the total build cost of this Coupe was well over 100K, and by the looks of this car, it certainly shows! All of the steel body panels are laser-straight all of the way around w/ precise gaps throughout, and the Raven Black paint shines like ‘black chrome’. It was actually quite hard taking exterior photos of this Ford Coupe, as it is so brilliant and shiny that it picks up every reflection in the room. The grille, commercial headlamps, and all of the chrome bright work is in show quality condition and looks outstanding. She has a perfect stance, and the front drop axle has her sitting just right up front. She sits on 16” steel wheels w/ Ford dog-dish hubcaps, wrapped w/ Coker Classic black-wall tires (6.50 x R16 on the rear and 6.00 x R16 on the front). You can walk around this Ford Coupe a hundred times and you will not find a bad angle. This car is an absolute show-stopper folks!

Open the driver’s door and you will find an absolutely gorgeous custom interior that that was designed for maximum comfort, as well as complete functionality. Interior features include: fully adjustable seat wrapped in deep red leather w/ matching deep red leather door panels, painted body-colored dashboard, Flaming River tilt-steering column, Lime Works Forty Ford style steering wheel w/ V8 horn button, diamond plated dash insert w/ Stewart Warner gauges, under-dash diamond plated panel w/ (2) additional Stewart Warner gauges, column mounted Stewart Warner tachometer, original cream-colored control knobs, light grey German square weave carpeting w/ red piping, 22” Lokar shifter w/ chrome Tremec shift knob, Vintage AC/Heat installed on the rear deck behind the seat, and both the windshield & rear window crank open just like they should. The overall contrast between the exterior and the interior is striking to say the least, and if I had to use only one word to describe it, I would have to say ‘elegant’.

Now, let’s get to what lies under the hood flaps, shall we?

This beautiful Hot Rod is powered by a built Ford 302 stroked to 331ci, w/ lots of go-fast components such as Edelbrock aluminum heads, Comp camshaft, Edelbrock F4B High-Rise intake manifold, Edelbrock 650-cfm carburetor, MSD Pro-Billet distributor, MSD Blaster 2 ignition coil, Ford Racing spark plug wires, finned-aluminum valve covers, Jet-Hot headers, custom Walker radiator w/ 12" electric fan, and on & on. I love that this Ford Coupe is powered by a FOMOCO motor, rather than the small-block Chevy engines that you’ll find in 99% of these Ford Hot Rods. The Ford 331ci stroker motor is linked to a Tremec 5-Speed manual transmission, which feeds power to the asphalt-shredding Ford 9” rear-end w/ 4.11 gears. Beyond the amazing good looks of this Coupe, my favorite thing about this car is the way she performs! She fires up instantly when cold, and immediately settles into a perfectly smooth idle w/ no sputtering or having to feather the pedal to keep her running while she warms up. When you get her out on the road, she runs & drives beautifully in every way, and she is very, very FAST! Over the past 25+ years, I have driven hundreds of 30’s-era Ford Hot Rods, and I can safely say that this Coupe drives so much better than 99.5% of them. There are no rattles, no squeaks, and no unwanted noises whatsoever, and she sounds excellent! This Coupe feels extremely tight in every way w/ the help coil-over adjustable-shocks, and the Wilwood front disc brakes help stop her on a dime. When you get her out on the highway she tracks straight and true, as you would expect from a Hot Rod of this caliber.

Bottom line: if you have been searching for an investment-grade Henry-steel Ford Hot Rod - one that can win ‘First Place’ awards @ any national level automobile event, but also one that can be driven and enjoyed to the fullest, you would be very hard pressed to find a finer example than this gorgeous 1933 Ford 5-Window Coupe!
