1937 Nash LaFayette Kustom Coupe

SOLD!

We @ Red Hills Rods and Choppers Inc. have been selling high-end Classic Cars, Muscle Cars & Hot Rods for over ten years now, and we have certainly sold some of the finest examples available anywhere at any price. That being said, I can safely say that this absolutely gorgeous, one of a kind 1937 Nash LaFayette Coupe is the finest example of a Kustom car that I have ever been associated with. This all-steel masterpiece is a rolling work of art, a one of a kind vehicle that will not be duplicated. Jason Graham of Portland Tennessee is the gentleman who performed the metal work, and he is indeed a master craftsman. He has been featured in several major Hot Rod publications recently, including the cover of Rod & Custom in January 2012. Jason builds some of the finest Hot Rods on the planet and his bodywork is second to none. He took an original all-steel 1937 Nash 5-window coupe and turned it into a 3-window coupe w/ a 5” chop. He created one of the most stunning bodies that I have ever seen in my life. It looks like it’s going 100 mph even when standing still. All of the sheet metal is laser straight from front to back and from top to bottom. The Coupe was then finished in a perfect gloss black paint job that looks as though it is a mile deep. Please look very closely at the photos and you will see how outstanding the bodywork is. It’s smooth curves & lines are very elegant, yet muscular, and it seems to float on air only inches from the ground as it passes by. Underneath is a Mustang II front end w/ Disc brakes, a Camaro Rear End and a Full Air Ride System on all four corners. It can be raised nice & high for cruising and then dropped to the ground when you park. This Nash looks absolutely incredible from every angle and your jaw will hang open as you walk around the car. When you jump inside the cockpit, you will find a beautiful interior, completely customized by Ridge Custom Interiors. The seat actually came out of a 1937 Chevy and was finished in classic black & red vinyl upholstery. The headliner, door panels and dash were all finished to match the seat w/ just the right amount of pinstriping to add that custom feel. The gauges are from Dolphin Gauges and feature a large Speedometer in front of the driver and a large multi-gauge unit in the middle, to keep a very clean look without cluttering the dash area. The Cadillac steering wheel looks perfect in this interior, as does the custom 26” shifter w/ custom shift knob. It’s the perfect interior for this car, very comfortable and timeless in appearance. The first feature that you can’t help but notice when you walk up to this awesome 1937 Nash LaFayette Kustom Coupe are the polished aluminum reversed upside down headers that come out from the side of the engine compartment. The sound that these pipes produce can be compared to the deep growl of a rabid wolf. They are deep, raspy and extremely mean sounding. These awesome pipes are connected to a mildly radical 350 ci small block Chevrolet motor w/ Offenhauser Intake and a Tri-Power set-up w/ (3) Rochester 2GC carburetors. The open side panels allow for easy viewing to show off all the polished components inside. The motor is linked to a T5 5-Speed Transmission and Chevrolet Camaro Rear End. She starts, idles, runs, steers and brakes perfectly and is an absolute BLAST to drive. She sits on classic Rocket ‘Radar’ Racing Wheels w/ wide-whitewall B.F Goodrich radial tires all around. If you don’t like tons of attention then this Nash is not for you. People will be jumping out of their cars at stoplights, taking photos with their smart phones. This masterpiece has not been exposed to the public yet and I am convinced that it would make a giant splash at an event such as the Grand National Roadster Show. I have had several large ‘Hot Rod’ magazine publications contact me about doing photos of this Coupe, so I am sure that the new owner will enjoy the publicity that this one of a kind vehicle will attract. It is truly a very special car and there is not, nor will there be another like it. In a world full of common everyday Hot Rods, this gorgeous 1937 Nash LaFayette Kustom Coupe is a breath of fresh air. Enclosed shipping is available anywhere in the world at the buyer’s expense.
