You will be hard pressed to find a finer example anywhere in the world @ any price, period! Most of these Delivery Wagons have been modified & customized, which is just fine, but to find an original untouched example in show-quality condition is quite rare indeed!

All of the factory original sheet metal is laser straight all the way around, and the Gloss Black paint, which looks like it’s a mile deep, is nearly flawless throughout! All of the chrome trim including bumpers, grill, moldings, etc, is in show quality condition. You simply cannot go wrong w/ shiny Black paint & chrome trim, and to say that it looks absolutely amazing on this ’40 Ford Delivery Wagon would be a gross understatement! You can walk around this vehicle a hundred times and never find a bad angle! The undercarriage is super-clean & very nicely detailed from front to back, appearing factory stock in every way.

Open the driver’s door and you will find a beautifully restored interior, which was done to stock specifications of course, using only OEM components, mainly by LeBaron Bonney. Countless man-hours were spent making sure that everything looked 100% period correct, just like she would have looked 76 years ago! Nothing has been modified or customized, as the plan was to keep the truck 100% original throughout. The single driver’s seat is 100% correct, however an original bench seat will be included in the sale in case you want to take a friend along for a ride. The light maple wood paneling in back is simply beautiful and really adds an elegant touch.

Pop-open the hood, and nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay you will find the factory original Ford Flathead 221ci 24-bolt V8 motor, linked to the factory original 3-Speed column-shift (3 on the tree) manual transmission, which feeds power to the factory original Banjo rear-end w/ 3.78 gears. Again, everything is 100% correct including the Ford 6-volt ‘Poly-Tar’ top battery. She fires up instantly w/ the press of the button, and settles into a nice smooth idle. She runs & performs beautifully, shifting nicely though all three gears, and is an absolute BLAST to drive! The brakes are strong & work perfectly, w/ no pulling to either side. She sits on original 16” steel wheels wrapped w/ brand new Firestone Deluxe Champion tires (6.00x16 up front & 7.00x16 in the rear), which are 100% correct and look outstanding! This amazing Wagon also comes comes complete w/ the factory original 1940 Ford Owner's Manual w/ Original Sleeve Envelope, original 1940 Ford Service Policy, original 1940 Owner's Service Certificate, original 1940 Ford Battery Warranty, original 1940 Ford Accessories Booklet, original 1940 Ford Engine & Chassis Shop Manual, as well as the original 1940 Ford Truck Dealer Brochure!

Simply stated: there are absolutely NO issues w/ this Wagon whatsoever, no leaky oil drips, etc., and nothing at all needs to be done!
