Have you been searching for a super-cool classic Street Rod that won’t break your bank account? Well, I think I have just the car for you!

‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is happy to offer you this beautiful 1948 Ford Deluxe Coupe Street Rod, finished in a gorgeous two-tone paint combination of Mandarin Red & Strawberry. The two-tone paint contrast is very subtle and looks amazing on this car. The complete restoration/build was done about 10 years ago, and the car still looks outstanding today. All of the original steel body panels are nice & straight all of the way around, and the paint has a lustrous shine that literally explodes in the sunlight. All of the chrome and stainless-steel trim is in excellent condition as well. The undercarriage is also very clean and nicely detailed from front to back, and features a Monte Carlo front & rear clip, 4-bar rear suspension, power front disc brakes, and Firestone air-bags in the rear. This Deluxe Coupe always has just the right stance, which can be easily adjusted w/ the air-bags depending on conditions. She sits on chrome Cragar SS mags (15” on the rear & 14” up front), wrapped w/ BF Goodrich TA radial tires (235/60/R15) on the rear, and Headway radial tires (185/45/R14) up front.

Open the driver’s door, and you will find a super comfortable & highly functional custom interior, featuring: grey cloth bucket-seats (powered & reclining), w/ console, two-tone grey cloth door panels w/ red vinyl flame inserts, two-tone grey cloth rear seat, painted dash w/ original stainless steel inserts & trim, custom gauges, tilt-steering column, Grant GT wrapped steering wheel, Sun Super Tach II (mounted on steering column), 20” Lokar shifter, ‘Ooga’ horn, Alpine CDA-9883 AM/FM/CD/MP3 In-Dash receiver, (4) Alpine speakers, and deep red carpeting throughout. As I previously stated, the interior is extremely comfortable and will adjust to any size driver. The trunk area is finished in grey carpeting and includes the spare chrome Cragar SS wheel w/ Goodyear spare tire, and the trunk-mounted Optima battery.

Now, let’s get to the good stuff, shall we?

Pop open the hood and you’ll find a 454ci BBC motor lathered in Chevy orange paint of course, featuring: chrome bowtie valve covers, Edelbrock Performer intake manifold, Edelbrock 750cfm carburetor, chrome air-cleaner assembly, HEI ignition w/ 8.5 plug wires, electric fuel pump, power steering, power front disc brakes, large polished aluminum radiator w/ dual-fans, etc. The cast-iron exhaust manifolds are connected to a custom dual exhaust system that sounds excellent! Within the last week, the motor was completely gone through, including new front crank seal, new timing chain, new rear-main seal, new chrome oil pan w/ new continuous oil pan gasket, new Lucas oil, new transmission oil seal, new transmission gasket, new transmission oil filter, new distributor cap & rotor, new spark plugs, etc.! The 454ci BBC is linked to a TH350 automatic transmission, which feeds power to the 10-bolt rear end w/ 3.55 gears. She fires up instantly, settling into a new smooth idle, and she runs, drives and performs beautifully! The power steering & power disc brakes make driving around town effortless, and when you get her out on the highway she tracks straight & true. This Coupe is a BLAST to drive and gets a ton of attention everywhere she goes!

Again, if you have been searching for a super-cool Street Rod that won’t break the bank, one that can win awards at your local car events, and most importantly, one that can be driven anywhere w/out worrying about reliability, you will want to take a very close look at this beautiful 1948 Ford Deluxe Coupe Street Rod!
