No other American automobile has had such a lasting appeal over the last 100 years as the 1955-1957 Chevrolets, simply known as the ‘Tri-Five Chevys’. They are simply one of the most beautiful and certainly the most recognizable American automobiles ever built. The timeless design and overall style of these cars make certain that they will never go out of style.

‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is very happy to offer you this absolutely beautiful 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Custom, the recipient of a complete body-off restoration and customization from the ground up. Restored/built in northern California, the plan was to create a gorgeous ’55 Chevy Bel Air that could win ‘First Place’ awards @ car shows & events, but also one that can be driven and enjoyed to the fullest w/out worrying about reliability. Mission accomplished!

It all started w/ a true ’55 Chevrolet Bel Air that was completely disassembled w/ the body removed from the frame. All of the original sheet metal was meticulously massaged to make sure that all of the body panels were laser-straight and that all of the panel gaps were precise all of the way around. The body was then lathered in Calypso Green & Oxford White basecoat/clearcoat paint, an absolutely beautiful color combination that really looks amazing on this car. A ceramic coating was applied, which truly makes the paint pop, and of course protects the finish as well. A smoothie front bumper was installed, as well as a 1957 Nomad rear bumper, which moved the license plate from the trunk to the bumper. LED headlights & taillights were added, as well as Mercedes-Benz side mirrors w/ signal indicators, which look very cool. The bumpers, grille, and all of the chrome & stainless-steel trim is in show quality condition throughout. She has a wonderful stance, and sits on 18” American Racing Torq-Thrust II chrome wheels, wrapped w/ Khumo Ecsta ASX radial tires (255/R45/18 on the rear & 225/R45/18 up front). You can walk around this car a dozen times and you will not find a bad angle. Underneath, 2” drop-spindles were added, along w/ front & rear sway bars, and front disc brakes, which all greatly improve driveability. A new Flowmaster exhaust system was installed as well which sounds excellent.

Open the driver’s door and you will find a gorgeous custom two-tone blue & white interior that was designed for complete comfort and total functionality. Interior features include: Camaro bucket seats w/ headrests, matching door panels w/ billet trim, painted dash w/ billet dash insert, Dakota Digital gauges w/ electric clock, full center console (houses the automatic shifter, power windows, power mirror switch controls, reverse back-up camera monitor, Audiovox CCS-100 cruise-control, automatic antenna switch, and computer monitor hook-up w/ engine computer under the driver’s seat), Ididit adjustable tilt-steering column, wrapped Lecarra 3-spoke steering wheel, billet pedals, Vintage AC, Pioneer DEH-P4200UB in-dash receiver w/ remote, (4) Polk Audio speakers: (2) 5.25” in door panels and (2) 6” x 9” in rear deck, Donnelly compass & ambient temperature gauge in rear view mirror, tinted windows, seat belts (front & rear), matching blue carpeting from front to back, and new Painless wiring for all electrical components.
