After 25 years of dealing in high-end classic cars, it’s not often that we are completely blown away when we take delivery of a new vehicle. But, when this amazing machine rolled off the transport truck, our jaws literally dropped to the floor!

‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is very proud to offer you this absolutely stunning, one-of-a-kind 1955 Chevrolet Nomad Pro-Touring classic! Folks, this Nomad is an absolute show-stopper! The Chevrolet Nomad was introduced in 1955, and offered customers a unique interpretation of the station wagon, appealing to both young adventurers and businesses alike. It was a customer’s darling, the unique body style inspiring them to add their own flavor to the recipe. Such is the case w/ this amazing example.

Built by Rick Chiaravelotti over the course of four years, this was a no-expense spared build, w/ absolutely no corners cut whatsoever. Finished in House of Kolor’s Tangelo Pearl w/ a bright white top, the bodywork is simply second to none w/ laser straight panels all the way around. The paint is absolutely stellar throughout, and the Tangelo Pearl looks outstanding on this wagon. All of the chrome & stainless-steel trim, including the bumpers, grille, emblems, etc., are in perfect show-quality condition. An HID headlamp system w/ color changing LED headlights were added, and an electric taillight assembly kit was installed on the driver-side rear, powered by a toggle-switch inside the console. She has a perfect stance, and rolls on Foose Monterey high-polished wheels (20” on the rear and 18” up front), wrapped w/ Nitto Invo High-Performance Tires (275/40/20 on the rear & 245/45/18 up front). You can spend an hour walking around this Nomad and she looks absolutely perfect from every single angle. The body sits on a new Art Morrison chassis, fully finished in Tangelo Pearl, w/ polished A-arms, polished sway bars, polished fuel cell, polished oil pans, and polished suspension components throughout. Adjustable coil-overs are on all four corners, and stopping power comes from a Wilwood Superlite 13” Big Brake Kit. The undercarriage on this Nomad is as stunning as the topside, and is truly a sight to behold. Please look closely at the undercarriage photos to see what a work of art lies underneath.

Open the driver’s door and you’ll find an absolutely gorgeous, highly unique, and very expensive custom tan leather interior done by Gillin Custom Design in Middletown, NY. Features include: custom leather 8-way powered front bucket seats, matching rear bucket seats w/ full console, matching leather rear cargo area w/ two custom-built access doors, matching leather door panels, leather wrapped dash w/ finned chrome insert, Dakota VHX Classic digital gauges, Flaming River polished steering column, Billet Specialties leather-wrapped steering wheel, custom recessed lighting, Vintage air conditioning, power windows, Lokar shift lever, Lokar pedals, Rockford Fosgate custom Bluetooth audio system w/ hidden receiver & subwoofers, tan carpeting w/ matched-color piping, and on and on! The interior is extremely luxurious, very comfortable, highly functional, and will fit any size person whatsoever. All of the gauges, lights, electrical components, etc., are in perfect working order. You really have to see the interior in person to appreciate how absolutely beautiful it truly is.

Now, let’s get to the heart of this beast, shall we?

When you pop open the hood, the first thing you’ll notice is the beautiful metal work that was done inside, w/ its smoothed surfaces, billet hinges, and a plethora of polished components sprinkled around throughout. Residing inside the gorgeous engine bay is a new Chevrolet Performance LS3 6.2 Liter 525hp crate engine, beautifully dressed up to fit the style of this spectacular Nomad, including a Concept One Victory Series pully system, functionally decorating the engine. Other features include custom valve covers w/ the Nomad logo, custom polished-steel intake manifold, Keyless Go ignition system, custom stainless-steel headers, Jim Cook polished racing exhaust system, custom polished aluminum heavy-duty radiator, polished aluminum AC radiator, polished billet overflow reservoir, polished billet power steering reservoir, polished stainless-steel lines throughout, etc. The motor is linked to a new GM Performance Supermatic 4-speed automatic transmission, which feeds power to the Art Morrison 9” rear-end. She fires up instantly w/ a flick of the wrist, settling into a nice smooth idle, and she runs, drives and performs beautifully in every way. As previously stated, this Nomad is extremely comfortable to drive w/ every creature comfort imaginable right at your finger-tips. The new owner will receive a large stack of invoices from the build, along w/ component manuals, instruction sheets, touch-up paint, batter tender, as well as two key fobs.
