1958 Pontiac Chieftain Custom

SOLD!

Wow, what a super-cool find! The 1958 Pontiac Chieftain has always been one of my favorite 50’s era classic cars, but usually when I get one in they are in stock original form, beautiful to look at but not so fun to drive. This beautiful 1958 Pontiac Chieftain was privy to a frame-off restoration in 2002 and it was decided then that this car would have all of the modern components that made driving effortless and most of all, FUN! She’s been driven 5580 miles in the last 10 years since the restoration and still looks absolutely stunning. The sheet metal is super straight and was paint in Deltron PPG ~ Fire Poly. The color is absolutely gorgeous and when you park it in the sunlight, it glimmers and comes alive. The Pontiac Chief Head was painted on the rear quarters and really adds that 50’s custom look to the car. All of the chrome & bright work is beautiful as well. Slide into the full custom gray interior and you will notice right away how comfortable it is. The original dash area looks beautiful and was painted in the same body color as the exterior. All of the gauges, lights, etc. work perfectly and the Vintage AC & Heat controls are in the glove box. The custom bench seat and the Chrome Ididit Tilt Steering column are fully adjustable to fit any size person that drives the car. Comfort was a key issue while restoring this 1958 Pontiac Chieftain. Open the hood, and your eyes focus in on a fully chromed out 400 ci stroker motor linked to a 700R4 automatic transmission and a 9” narrowed rear end w/ 3.50 gears. This car runs super-strong and you will be amazed at how this motor pulls this big car down the road! The transmission shifts beautifully and will snap your head back when going through the gears. When coming to a stoplight, you can’t feel or hear the upshift at all. The Rewarder Headers w/ 2 ½” exhaust & Flo-Tec mufflers sound amazing and really growl when you open her up! Other features include: chrome Holley 750 cfm carburetor, chrome Edelbrock intake, MSD ignition, 140 amp alternator, Matson aluminum radiator w/ dual electric fans, Gear Drive camshaft, 605 Power Steering Box & components, Ron Francis wiring and trunk mounted battery. Additional features include: powder coated frame/undercarriage components, 2” dropped spindles, Air Shocks on the rear, power assisted 4-wheel disc brakes and a 35 gallon aluminum fuel tank. This beautiful 1958 Pontiac Chieftain starts, runs, and performs like a dream. The Power Steering & Power assisted 4-Wheel Disc Brakes make driving absolutely effortless. She’s got it all: great looks, outstanding performance and reliable enough to drive from coast to coast if need be. If you are searching for that 50’s era classic car but you want one that you can truly enjoy, this is your car! Enclosed shipping is available anywhere in the world at the buyer’s expense.
