~ 1964 Shelby Cobra FIA CSX 7965 50th Anniversary ~

In 1964, Shelby American introduced the FIA version of the small block Cobra, which dominated its class in many forms of racing throughout the 1960's against fierce competitors like the Corvette, Jaguar and Aston Martin. To celebrate the 50th Anniversary, Shelby American manufactured 50 Limited-Edition Continuation Series (CSX7000) Shelby 289 FIA Cobras.

Painted in Shelby team colors, Viking Blue w/ White Roundels & Red Team Stripe, this Cobra is #16 of 50 built, which is quite an historic number, as the first of the five original 1964 Cobra FIA cars built to race in Europe was #16.

She is powered by a Shelby all-aluminum 289ci motor, bored & stroked to displace 347ci w/ an Inglese Fuel Injected 8-Stack System. Power is sent to the rear wheels via a Tremec 5-Speed Manual Transmission, linked to a Salisbury Limited-Slip Differential w/ 3.73 gears. Other options include: Fuel-Cap Wind Deflector, Quick-Release Steering Wheel, Passenger Grab-Handle, Factory Black Leather Interior, Custom Black Carpeting w/ 50th Anniversary Floor Mats, 50th Anniversary Badges, 23-Gallon Fuel Tank, etc. !!

This 'flawless' example is in brand-new condition throughout, w/ only 120 miles, and is heavily documented w/ every single piece of paperwork from the day it was originally ordered !!
