1965 Pontiac GTO

Feast your eyes on this absolutely gorgeous, numbers matching and heavily documented 1965 Pontiac GTO finished in its original, one-year only color of (Code P) Iris Mist w/ (Code 3E) Parchment & Black interior. This beautiful GTO was sold new on May 8th 1965 @ Frank Rierson Pontiac in Clovis New Mexico and spent its entire life in New Mexico before recently being sold to a gentleman in Saint George Utah. Before leaving New Mexico, an expensive paint job was done on this car in its original color of (Code P) Iris Mist, and the drive train was gone through to make sure everything was perfect. This beautiful muscle car would never need a full restoration as it has never seen a speck of rust and retains all of its original sheet metal. The original panels are laser straight all of the way around the car and the Iris Mist paint is like glass. There are no scratches, dents, dings, etc., anywhere. All of the chrome & stainless is absolutely beautiful as well. The undercarriage has to be the nicest original that I have ever seen. It is super-solid and nicely detailed from front to back, with newer exhaust system, shocks, bushings, etc. Slide inside the original Parchment & Black interior and it feels like 1965 all over again. All of the gauges, lights, blinkers, original AM radio w/ original power antenna, lighter, everything, works perfectly. The interior is absolutely outstanding on this GTO. Now let’s get to the heart of the beast. Pop open the hood, and nestled neatly inside the beautifully detailed engine bay is the original numbers matching 389/335 motor with the correct (YS) and (454087) stamping that matches the Protecto-Plate. The motor is linked to the original 2-speed Powerglide Transmission and the original (code WF) 3.23 Rear Axle with (Code YF) Safe-T-Track. The best thing about this gorgeous 1965 Pontiac GTO is the way it drives and performs. She starts, runs, drives, steers and brakes beautifully in every way with no issues whatsoever. When you get out on the open road, there are no vibrations, rattles or squeaks and she tracks perfectly straight with plenty of power to spare. This GTO is an absolute blast to drive and the factory Power Steering makes maneuvering effortless. I can also guarantee that you will get you plenty of attention driving this beautiful GTO. The Iris Mist exterior wrapped around the Parchment interior makes for a gorgeous color combination and you really have to see it in person to appreciate how beautiful it really is. I am always getting compliments from people on how it’s one of the prettiest color combos that they have ever seen.
