We’ve had dozens of cool trucks over the last 7-8 years, but this truck has a look & style all its own, that’s for sure! This beautiful Chevrolet Pickup has been in the same family since purchased new and retains all of its original sheet metal, which is laser straight from front to back. It just recently received a no-expense spared body-off restoration and the final result is nothing short of spectacular. The bodywork is second to none and the gorgeous one-of-a-kind custom paint is one of the most beautiful colors that I have ever seen on a truck, period! A special blend of silver & gold resulted in an incredible shade of Pewter, and I have never seen it on any other vehicle in my life. I dare you to walk around this truck and find an angle where it does not look incredible. All of the chrome & stainless trim is show quality throughout, and the solid oak bed w/ polished stringers really lends a touch of class. Everyone who sees this pickup in person agrees that it’s got massive appeal. The undercarriage is super-clean and very nicely detailed from front to back. Again, this was a body-off project so all components underneath are fresh & new. Open the driver’s door and you will find an ultra-clean, mostly original style interior, with the original vinyl bench seat finished to match the exterior perfectly. When you pull the bench seat forward, you will notice the Original Build Sheet still tucked underneath the springs. Pretty cool, huh? The interior sheet metal & the original dash are painted in the same beautiful exterior color and the original gauges are still present, which all work beautifully. Other features include: plush pile carpeting, Ididit 8-point tilt-steering column and custom Grant steering wheel wrapped to match the seat perfectly. This is a beautiful, original-style interior with no distractions whatsoever. Now, let’s get to the heart of this beast, shall we? Open the hood and you immediately realize how much thought & custom design work went into this truck. This ultra-clean engine bay, with the custom built inner fenders and one-off chrome & sheet metal work is as clean as they come. It is truly a work of art. Nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay, lies a new 383ci stroker, balanced & blue printed of course. Features include: dual Edelbrock 500 cfm carburetors, polished Edelbrock intake manifold, polished ‘Heartbeat of America’ valve covers & air cleaners, MSD Pro-Billet distributor w/ 8mm MSD plug wires, hydraulic roller camshaft & lifters w/ 111 lobe separation, aluminum roller rockers, Speed-Pro Hypereutectic pistons w/ Moly graphite, double roller timing gear, hardened push rods, 2.02 Edelbrock aluminum heads, polished CPP brake booster, and on and on! All of the hoses are braided steel and every nut & bolt is polished throughout. Please look closely at the photos, as this engine bay is simply outstanding in every sense of the word! The 383ci stroker motor is linked to a new 700R4 transmission w/ Lockup American performance, which feeds power to a 12-bolt Posi rear end (Eaton axles) w/ 3.42 gears. She starts, idles, runs & performs beautifully, has tons of power and is an absolute BLAST to drive! Once you get going, the CPP front disc brakes will slow you down in a hurry. The Hedman headers w/ 2 ½” stainless exhaust system & Flowmasters sound spectacular as you would expect, and the Be-Cool custom fit radiator w/ custom Be-Cool electric fan keeps her running nice & cool even in hot summer weather. Underneath, we’ve got 4” CPP drop spindles in front and brand new lowered coil springs front & rear, which make for an incredible stance and a nice smooth ride. She sits on Baby Moon wheels w/ BF Goodrich tires (P275/60/R15 in the rear & P255/60/R15 up front). It’s not often that you find an original 60’s era pickup that has been w/ the same family since day one with its Original Build Sheet still present, that’s for sure!
