1968 Chevrolet Camaro 327/275

SOLD!

It’s not often that you find a 60’s era classic car that has been in the same family for 40 years but such is the case with this beautiful, numbers matching 1968 Chevrolet Camaro 327/275 car, which underwent a complete nut & bolt restoration in 1989 and still looks absolutely amazing today. Having spent its entire life in Las Vegas Nevada, before coming here to Saint George Utah, it has always been in a very dry environment, so rust was never an issue whatsoever. The sheet metal on this two-owner Camaro is super straight all of the way around the car and though she left the factory in (Code YY) Butternut Yellow, it was decided during the restoration to paint the car Rally Red, which looks absolutely awesome, especially with the factory correct (Code 716) Ivory Houndstooth Bucket-Seat Interior! The factory installed exterior body-trim and all of the chrome / stainless is in beautiful condition throughout. When you walk around the car it’s nearly impossible to believe that is was restored 24 years ago! The car shows beautifully in every way and the color combination is about as eye-popping as you can get! The undercarriage is detailed nicely and super solid, with its original floors & trunk pan. Open the driver’s door and when you slide into the beautiful (Code 716) Ivory Houndstooth Bucket Seats, you will swear that it’s 1968 all over again. A mixture of original items such as the headliner, sun visors & seat belts are combined w/ the new seat covers, door panels and carpeting. Everything appears to be factory correct throughout and the original gauges, lights, blinkers, etc. work wonderfully. Walk around to the front of the car, open the hood and nestled inside the nicely detailed engine bay, you will find the original numbers matching 327/275 hp V8 engine, wearing its correct suffix code: T0327EE (Tonawanda - March 27 - 327/275 hp Motor), as well as the partial VIN stamping: 18L336396 (Chevrolet – Los Angeles Plant – Last 6 Digits of the VIN). Improvements include: Edelbrock Performer Intake Manifold and Edelbrock 500cfm 4V Carburetor, which really add to the performance! Though originally a 2-Speed Powerglide car from the factory, it was decided during the restoration to install a GM TH400 3-Speed Automatic Transmission, which makes for a much better driving experience all around. The original numbers matching 327/275 hp motor and TH400 transmission feed power to the original numbers matching 10-Bolt Rear non-locking axle a/ 3.08 gears. She starts, idles, runs and performs beautifully and is a blast to drive! Power Steering & Power Drum Brakes make driving around town effortless and the Factory Air Conditioning will keep you nice & cool while cruising. She sits on original 14x7 Rally Wheels w/ new Firestone Super Sport F70-14 Redline tires.
