‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is very happy to offer you this absolutely gorgeous 1968 Chevrolet Camaro SS 396 Custom, finished in a perfect Tuxedo Black exterior w/ a white Bumble-Bee nose stripe, wrapped around a beautiful black & white Houndstooth interior w/ console. This car is absolutely stunning folks! She is from Las Vegas and was completed less than two years ago, and mainly driven only to car shows and special events. The 100% rust-free sheet metal is LASER straight all the way around the car, and the Tuxedo Black paint looks to be a mile deep w/ a mirror-like shine. All of the chrome & bright work is show quality throughout. She’s got the perfect stance, sitting on custom black 18” FOOSE wheels wrapped w/ Nitto NT555 Extreme Ultra High Performance radials (275/40/ZR18 on the rear & 225/45/R18 up front). You can walk around this car a hundred times and you will never find a bad angle.
Open the driver’s door and you will find a gorgeous black & white Houndstooth bucket-seat interior w/ console, featuring an original stock dash w/ original factory style gauges, original console w/ factory gauge cluster, Ididit tilt steering column, chrome plated billet T-style steering wheel, B&M Quicksilver shifter, SFI racing seatbelts, and a Pioneer DEH-X6700BT sound system w/ RE Audio subwoofers in the trunk. The idea was to keep the interior as stock in appearance as possible and I feel that the final results are simply perfect. Now, let’s get to the heart of the beast.
Open the hood and nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay resides a new GM 396ci SBC Blueprint Stroker Motor (BP3961CTC) producing 485hp w/ 500 Lbs./Ft. Torque. These are excellent motors, extremely reliable w/ loads & power & torque. Other features include: matching black Streamline valve covers w/ Chevrolet logo & air cleaner assembly, Holley 650cfm carburetor, polished serpentine belt system, Ron Davis dual-pass aluminum radiator w/ dual spal fans, chrome alternator, Tuff Stuff chrome power steering pump, custom stainless steel headers, and on & on. The motor is linked to a built TH400 automatic transmission, which feeds power to the asphalt shredding 12-bolt rear end (including a Proform Perfect Launch differential cover) w/ 3.73 gears. She fires up instantly settling into a nice smooth idle and runs, drives & performs flawlessly in every way. As I stated previously, this Camaro has loads of power & torque and is incredibly responsive. The custom 3” stainless steel exhaust system w/ Flowmaster mufflers sounds absolutely amazing w/ a deep low tone. The power steering & power front disc brakes make driving around town effortless, and when you get her out on the highway she tracks straight & true w/ no unwanted vibrations or rattles. The heavy-duty aluminum radiator w/ dual fans keeps her running nice & cool even in 100+ degree summer weather.
