1969 was the third and final year for the first generation of Chevrolet's ultra-popular ‘Camaro’. Perhaps no other body style defines Chevrolet and their place in the muscle car world as does the 1969 Camaro RS/SS, as it was also the Indianapolis 500 Pace Car that year. The Camaro RS/SS model featured special vacuum-operated headlight covers w/ three translucent louvers, fender striping, back-up lights below the bumper, chrome wheel-well moldings, simulated rear louvers, black grille & rocker panels, as well as accented air vents and taillights, all of which distinguished the ‘RS’ package. Simply stated, it is an absolutely beautiful & extremely iconic design!
