Wow, what a find! Mopar muscle car collectors, wake up and feast your eyes on this absolutely gorgeous, rotisserie restored, numbers matching & fully documented 1969 Plymouth GTX 440 4-Speed car, finished in its factory correct (Code F5) Limelight Green exterior wrapped around the factory correct (Code P6X) Black bucket seat interior w/ console. Is there a finer looking color combo on a 1969 Plymouth GTX? I really don’t believe there is. This investment grade 1969 Plymouth GTX 440 is fully documented w/ its original build sheet, GTS Registry paperwork, as well as its original Fender Tag, which decodes as follows: First Row ~ (E86) 440/375 hp Super Commando Engine, (D21) A833 4-Speed Manual Transmission, (VIN) RS23L9G191832. Second Row ~ (F5) (F5) Limelight Metallic, (P6X) Premium Grade Black Vinyl Bucket Seats, (X9) Black Upper Door Frame, (C20) Scheduled Production Date Friday December 20 1968, (094953) Vehicle Order Number. Third Row ~ (A33) Track Pak 3.54 Dana 60, (B51) Power Brakes, (C16) Console w/ Woodgrain Panel, (C55) Bucket Seats, (G33) Outside LH Remote Chrome Mirror, (M31) Drop Rail Mouldings. Fourth Row ~ (M33) Body Side Mouldings, (N85) Tachometer, (R22) AM Radio w/ 8-Track Player, (V1X) Black Vinyl Roof, (26) 26” Radiator, (END) End Of Fender Tag Codes, (15W) Inspectors Stamp. Currently it is #146 of 301 in Galen Govier’s Registry. This beautiful GTX was the recipient of a full nut & bolt frame-off restoration and is show quality from front to back. All of the original sheet metal is laser straight all of the way around the car and the (Code F5) Limelight Green paint looks to be a mile deep. This color is absolutely amazing and literally explodes in the sunlight. All of the chrome & stainless trim is show quality throughout. When you slide into the beautiful (Code P6X) Black bucket seat interior, you will feel like it’s 1969 all over again. Everything appears factory correct from the beautiful console w/ factory Hurst shifter to the original gauges w/ factory Tachometer. All of the gauges, lights, blinkers, etc. work beautifully. The factory 8-Track player was completely rebuilt and works wonderfully. The only upgrade is the recent installation of Vintage Air Conditioning, which was installed after taking these photos. This can easily be removed and brought back to original but most folks would agree that cold AC is very nice, and sometimes necessary on those hot summer days. Open the hood and nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay is the original numbers matching 440/375 hp Super Commando engine, linked to the original numbers matching A833 4-Speed Transmission which feeds power to the original Dana 60 3.54 Track Pak rear axle. These 440/375 Super Commando engines have loads of power and are far less finicky & troublesome than the 426 Hemi motors. She starts, runs and performs wonderfully and is a blast to drive! The factory Power Steering and factory Power Brakes make driving around town effortless. She sits on a brand new set of Magnum 500 wheels w/ period correct Coker redline tires. The original steel wheels and dog-dish hubcaps are present and will go w/ the car. As I stated earlier, this GTX has extensive documentation including the original build sheet, original owners manual, receipts for maintenance/restoration, Galen Govier Registry documents and the original Fender Tag.
