1969 Plymouth Hemi Roadrunner

SOLD!

There is something about a 1969 Plymouth Hemi Roadrunner that gets the blood pumping of even the most jaded muscle car enthusiasts. As we know, Motor Trend magazine voted the 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner ‘Car Of The Year’, only in its second year of existence, as there was no denying the appeal of this no-nonsense, no-frills brute of a muscle car. The Roadrunner that you are looking at is one of the meanest, most ominous looking Roadrunners that I have ever seen in my life, and it was created to be just that. Finished in a gorgeous Titanium Dark Metallic w/ Platinum Hood Stripes, this Plymouth screams, “Don’t mess w/ me or you’ll be sorry”. This particular 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner left the factory with a 383ci motor and 4-Speed transmission, and was finished in (Code F3) Light Green Metallic per the original Fender Tag that is still attached in the inner fender. The builder found this car without its original motor and due to the minimal rust and overall great condition of the body, decided that it was the perfect donor car to build his dream ’69 Hemi Roadrunner. It was installed onto a rotisserie and every nut & bolt was removed from the car. Right & left welded-in sub-frame connectors and all four torque boxes were then installed. All of the front suspension components are original w/ bushings and joints being replaced. The torsion bars were replaced w/ Hemi bars to handle the added weight of the motor, and all tie-rod ends & components were replaced with a 1” sway bar being added. Then came the beautiful Titanium Dark Metallic paint job, which is a 2-Stage base coat/clear coat, with Platinum stripes down the hood, which look incredible. This particular color combo is absolutely stunning on this Roadrunner and I’ve never seen another one like it. A brand new grille and brand new AMD front & rear bumpers were also added, along with new stainless trim throughout. All of the glass was replaced w/ factory-tinted glass and new weather-strip was added. Everything that could be done was done to make it look like a brand new 1969 Plymouth Roadrunner. Open the driver’s door and you will find a completely brand new interior, including new carpet, seat covers, headliner, door panels, upper dash pad, etc., all replaced to stock appearance, with the exception of the Hurst Pistol Grip shifter, custom installed Auto Meter gauges angled in-dash (looks GREAT!), Auto Meter Tachometer & the original speedometer cluster which was redone in white and looks awesome. A Classic Auto Air A/C & Heat system was also added which blows ice cold. Again, the interior is basically all brand new and looks outstanding. All of the gauges, lights, turn signals, etc. work perfectly as you would expect. Now let’s get to the fun stuff, shall we? Pop open the hood and nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay resides a new 472ci Hemi crate motor producing a whopping 525 horsepower! The Hemi is linked to an A833 23-spline 4-Speed transmission that was completely rebuilt, which is linked to 3.54 Dana 60 rear-end w/ 35-spline axles and Strange Engineering components. She starts, idles, runs and drives beautifully in every way and is loaded with power & torque. The A833 4-speed transmission combined with the Zoom Street & Strip clutch & pressure plate, shifts super smooth & strong yet very quiet. A brand new power steering box makes steering nice & easy and the SSBC 4-wheel disc brakes will help you stop smooth & quick. She also runs nice & cool thanks to the aluminum Champion 4-Core radiator w/ dual electric 12” fans. This Roadrunner is an absolute BLAST to drive and she sounds incredible as well, thanks to the 3” TTI exhaust system w/ Magnaflow mufflers & stainless tips. The steel wheels were custom built by Wheel Vintiques w/ the classic dog-dish hubcaps and wrapped w/ new BF Goodrich Radials. I think the wheels make this car as it completes the no-nonsense attitude fully. This 1969 Plymouth Hemi Roadrunner simply has it all: incredible good looks as well as massive performance combined w/ reliability that will let you get in and drive anywhere at anytime. The build/restoration took nearly (3) years to complete and she has been driven less than 300 miles since it’s completion. A pile of receipts for the restoration will go w/ the car, along with the free & clear title. Someone is going to get an amazing 1969 Plymouth Hemi Roadrunner for a fraction of what it cost to build! Enclosed shipping is available anywhere in the world at the buyer’s expense.
