‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is happy to offer you this absolutely gorgeous 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS 454 Custom! This beautiful ’70 Chevelle SS underwent a complete frame-off restoration several years back, and a lot of thought went into creating this special car. She started out as a true Chevelle SS 396 car that left the factory in Classic White (Code 10) w/ a red bucket-seat interior (Code 788), but the gentleman who restored the car wanted it to be exactly to his liking, so he decided upon a Tuxedo Black exterior w/ White Stripes, wrapped around an Ivory bucket-seat interior, which looks outstanding on this car! He also wanted a custom-built 454ci motor, which we will get to shortly. All of the sheet metal is laser straight all of the way around, and the Tuxedo Black paint looks like black glass, w/ no ripples or waves to be found anywhere. All of the chrome & stainless-steel trim is in show quality condition throughout. The windshield and rear window are brand new, while the side windows remain original, and all of the emblems, T3 headlights, lenses, etc., are brand new. She sits on 18” American Racing Draft Wheels in Vintage Silver w/ Diamond Cut Lip (18”x10”), wrapped w/ Nitto NT555 G2 high-performance tires (285/40/ZR18 on the rear & 245/45/ZR18 up front). You can walk around this car a hundred times and it looks stunning from every angle. The detailed undercarriage is beautifully done as well, featuring a Chevrolet Chevelle tubular control-arm & coil-over suspension kit by Global West Suspension, adjustable coil-over suspension on the rear, anti-sway-bars front & rear, 4-wheel disc brakes, new fuel tank, custom dual exhaust system, etc. Please look closely at the undercarriage photos to see how nicely everything was done.

Open the driver’s door and you will find a beautiful Ivory bucket-seat interior that looks 100% factory-stock in every way. The only deviation from stock would be the modern AM/FM Bluetooth sound system, which is a nice upgrade and is very clean in appearance. The ivory seats, door panels, dash pad, dash insert, carpeting, etc. are in wonderful condition throughout. The original gauges, lights, blinkers, etc., are in perfect working order. The trunk area was fully restored as well, and includes the correct trunk mat.

Powering this gorgeous Chevelle is a custom-built 454ci motor (#T0625TRT), featuring Speed Pro flat-top pistons (10:1 compression), Comp Cams hydraulic roller cam, Brodix Race Rite aluminum heads, Edelbrock aluminum intake manifold, AED HO-Series 750HPHO-BK carburetor, Hedman headers, black valve covers w/ Chevrolet logo, matching black air cleaner assembly, K&N air filter, custom heavy-duty aluminum radiator, etc. This custom-built 454ci powerplant is said to produce a whopping 540hp, w/ 500 Ft. Lbs./Torque, which is guaranteed to get you scooting down the road quickly! The motor is linked to a Muncie M21 close-ratio 4-speed transmission, which feeds power to the original 12-bolt rear-end w/ 3.31 gears. She fires up quickly, settling into a nice smooth idle, and she runs, drives and performs beautifully. If you don’t like attention, then this is not the car for you, as anywhere you drive this beautiful Chevelle there will be a crowd gathered around, snapping photos on their smartphones.

Again, if you have been searching for a vintage muscle car that can win ‘first place’ awards at your local car shows, as well as one that can be driven and enjoyed to the fullest, it would be pretty hard to beat this gorgeous 1970 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454 Custom!
