Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is proud to offer you this absolutely gorgeous, all numbers-matching, rotisserie restored and fully documented 1970 Chevrolet CST/10 Pickup! Purchased on May 27th, 1970, @ Tichenor Chevrolet in Hartford, Kentucky, by Mr. Roy L. Havens, this CST/10 Pickup has obviously led a very charmed life. Finished in its factory original and arguably the most desirable color combination of Hugger Orange wrapped around a beautiful Houndstooth bucket-seat interior w/ console, this Chevy CST/10 left the factory w/ a plethora of desirable options. When you factor in the gorgeous original color combination, the all numbers-matching driveline, the no-expense spared rotisserie restoration, and the factory original documentation, such as the original Protecto-Plate, original dealership sales invoice, etc., well, I really don’t think that there are many out there that can truly compare.

As mentioned, she underwent a frame-off rotisserie restoration and the final result is nothing short of breath-taking! All of the original rust-free sheet metal is laser-straight all of the way around the truck, and the Hugger Orange paint (base-coat/clear/coat) has been polished to a lustrous eye-popping shine. You really have to see this truck in person to appreciate how beautiful the paint is. All of the chrome, stainless steel & faux-wood trim is in ‘show-quality’ condition throughout, as is all of the glass. This pickup is an absolute show-stopper folks! She sits on 15” Rally-wheels w/ chrome beauty rings and ‘Bowtie’ hubcaps, wrapped w/ Cooper Cobra Radial GT tires (P255/70/R15). You can walk around this truck a hundred times and you will not find any distractions whatsoever. The undercarriage shows just as well as the top side of the truck, and this is where you can see the time & effort that was spent to restore this classic pickup (see undercarriage photos).

Open the driver’s door and you will find an absolutely ‘perfect’ black-vinyl Houndstooth interior w/ original CST trim. Interior features include: bucket-seats w/ console, CST custom trim throughout, tilt-steering column, painted dash w/ perfect faux-wood inserts, factory tachometer, original AM radio, and new black carpeting. All of the original gauges including tachometer, lights, blinkers, AM radio, etc., are all in perfect working order. Please look closely at the photos to see how ‘absolutely mint’ this interior truly is. Even way under the dash everything is tidy & fresh like new. When you slide inside, it looks & feels like it must have on the showroom floor back in 1970.

Walk up front and pop open the hood, and inside the beautifully-detailed engine bay you’ll find the original numbers-matching 400 big-block motor (402ci), lathered in Chevy orange paint w/ its original single-snorkel air-cleaner assembly. The motor is linked to the original numbers-matching TH400 automatic transmission, which feeds power to the original numbers-matching 3.07 12-bolt Positraction rear axle. The original stampings on the motor, transmission and rear axle all match up to the factory original Protecto-Plate. The engine bay resembles the rest of the truck w/ it’s cleanliness & tidiness, and everything appears factory correct down to the AC Delco R59 battery. She fires up instantly, settling into a nice smooth idle, and she runs & drives beautifully in every way. Everything has been completely sorted out so that you can drive this gorgeous pickup anywhere w/out worrying about reliability. The factory power steering, and power front disc brakes make driving around town effortless, and when you get her out on the highway, she tracks straight and true.
