1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454

SOLD!

Ever since he was a young boy, Mr. Perry of Saint George Utah always had a dream of owning the perfect Tuxedo Black 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454. Nearly six years ago, he put his plans into action, and began building his dream car. Feast your eyes on this gorgeous 1971 Chevrolet Chevelle SS454 finished in Tuxedo Black wrapped around a beautiful Parchment bucket-seat interior! It’s fun to watch people’s jaws drop as they walk around this stunning Chevelle, with the paint looking so glossy & wet, like it will just drip right off of the car. This Chevelle is an authentic Super Sport that left the factory finished in (Code 78) Rosewood Metallic w/ Black bucket seat interior, an absolutely gorgeous color combination but as I stated earlier, Mr. Perry wanted his Chevelle to be Tuxedo Black w/ Parchment Interior. The restoration was professionally done, starting with the frame being completely sand blasted and powder coated. The bodywork is beautiful and the Tuxedo Black paint was applied via DuPont Base Coat/Clear Coat. Again, the paint looks wet and appears to be a mile deep. The white stripes were painted on under the clear coat. The original bumpers and all of the original stainless trim were completely re-chromed to show quality condition. When you slide into the beautiful all-new Parchment bucket-seat interior, you will swear that it is 1971 all over again! Everything is new from front to back, including the correct GM steering wheel. All of the original gauges, lights, blinkers, AM/FM Radio, EVERYTHING works beautifully. Open the hood and nestled inside the nicely detailed engine bay you will find the 454 ci Chevrolet Hi-Perf Big Block motor (NOM) that was completely rebuilt .30 over and dressed up to appear as factory stock as possible, with original Rochester carburetor, stock intake manifold, stock exhaust manifolds, etc. This lethal powerplant was broken in on a Dyno and it showed the motor to deliver 440 hp w/ 489 Lbs/Ft. Torque. The 454 is linked to a Muncie M21 4-Speed transmission which delivers power to the original 12-bolt rear end w/ 3.55 gears. She starts, runs, drives, steers & brakes beautifully and when you press your right foot firmly to the floor, she will shred the asphalt! She’s got tons of power & torque and is an absolute blast to drive. The factory F41 suspension has that nice tight feel, and helps her stay glued to the road, and the power steering / power front disc brakes make driving around town effortless. She got a great stance and sits on original 15” Rally wheels w/ BF Goodrich tires. All of the receipts for the restoration/build, as well as the partial build sheet will go to the new owner. If you have been searching for a gorgeous SS454 Chevelle that you can drive & enjoy, as well as win trophies at any car event that you decide to enter, you have found your car. Enclosed shipping is available anywhere in the world at the buyer’s expense.
