‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is very happy to offer you this absolutely beautiful, numbers-matching 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible, finished in its factory original Brands Hatch Green wrapped around a black leather interior, and featuring a 350ci/270hp motor and a Muncie M21 4-speed transmission. This ’71 Corvette Convertible is extremely well documented from day one, w/ it’s factory original Protecto-Plate, pre-delivery Inspection sheet, and a 2” thick itemized check-list of every single part replaced, every repair, and every bit of maintenance that has been done to the car since purchased new @ DeHart Chevrolet in Gaston, Indiana, on July 28, 1971. It has never been dismantled and/or restored, and is basically 90% original from front to back. One professional repaint in its factory original Brands Hatch Green was done in 2011, and she still looks absolutely beautiful w/ very few distractions to speak of. Again, every single repair, or part replacement is listed chronologically, including the original receipts for all work performed, and she has been meticulously maintained since new. She now sits on our showroom floor here in St. George, Utah, in its beautiful and mostly original condition.

There is something to be said about vintage Corvettes that have never been torn apart and dismantled, as they always drive so much better in their original form. The Brand Hatch Green paint has a beautiful shine throughout, w/ just a few minor scuffs that don’t distract from its overall beauty. The chrome bumpers, chrome luggage rack, and stainless-steel trim are in excellent condition, w/ a bit of fogginess on the original rear bumper. She sits on original 15” Chevrolet Rallye wheels, wrapped w/ BF Goodrich radial tires.

Open the driver’s door and you will find a beautiful black leather interior in amazing mostly-original condition, w/ new cut/pile carpeting, and a few other replaced items that are listed in the extensive documentation. The original black leather seats show a bit of wear but are in amazing condition for their age, w/ no rips or tears. All of the original gauges, lights, blinkers, console lights, AM/FM radio, etc. are all in working order and function properly. The black convertible soft-top was replaced when the car was painted, and is in excellent condition. For a mostly original interior, I think it would be quite hard to find one in better overall condition.

Pop open the hood, and you will find the original numbers-matching 350ci/270hp motor, linked the original numbers-matching Muncie M21 4-speed transmission, which feeds power to the original 3.36 rear-end. All VIN stamps, suffix codes, date codes, etc., match the factory original Protecto-Plate. She fires up instantly, settling into a nice smooth idle, and she runs, drives and performs beautifully in every way. This Corvette is an absolute BLAST to drive, and is super tight w/ no rattles or unwanted noises. Again, they always drive so much nicer in their original form w/out being completely dismantled, as fully restored cars are.

The new owner will receive the original owner’s manual in the original plastic cover, original Protecto-plate, original pre-delivery inspection sheet, original Chevrolet consumer information pamphlet, and a stack of chronologically itemized repair sheets and receipts from parts and work performed. If you have been searching for an unrestored classic Corvette that you can drive & enjoy to the fullest, it will be hard to beat this beautiful 1971 Chevrolet Corvette Convertible!
