A no-expense spared nut & bolt restoration was just completed on this truck, and the final result is nothing short of breath taking! Only 265 miles have been driven since the completion of this exhaustive restoration. Being an Arizona truck its entire life, all of the sheet metal was 100% rust-free throughout, so bodywork was relatively simple. All of the original metal is laser straight all of the way around the truck, and all body panels align perfectly. The factory correct Hugger Orange paint is absolutely perfect, as is the factory correct white painted roof. This is a show quality paint job with no weak areas or distractions anywhere. The chrome bumpers and all of the bright work appear to be flawless & show quality throughout. You can walk around this truck a hundred times and never find a bad angle. The undercarriage is as nice as the topside, with all components appearing brand new & factory correct from front to back. This is a truck that you can lay mirrors under at any car event and watch people’s jaws drop!
When you open the driver’s door and slide into the factory correct Parchment interior, you would bet your life that its 1971 all over again! Everything appears factory stock & 100% correct throughout, with no blemishes or distractions to be found anywhere. All of the lights, blinkers, gauges, etc., are in perfect working order, and even the lighter & factory Am Radio function properly. Yes, the Factory Air Conditioning blows ice cold! Please look closely at the photos and I think that you will agree that this interior is simply perfect in every way!
Open the hood and nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay resides the correct ‘Invader’ 350ci motor, linked to the correct TH350 3-Speed automatic transmission. She starts, idles, runs, drives & performs beautifully in every way. The ‘Invader’ 350 has plenty of power & torque, and the TH350 transmission shifts smooth & tight like brand new. The Factory Power Steering and ‘first year’ Factory Disc Brakes makes driving around town effortless! When she gets on the freeway, she tracks straight & true with no vibrations or weird noises whatsoever. You had better be ready for lots of attention because anywhere you take this truck there will be a crowd around it within minutes. Folks will be snapping photos on their smart phone at every stoplight.
