1972 Chevrolet Nova 'SS'

SOLD!

You could search for the rest of your life for the perfect Nova SS and never find an example like the one you are looking at now!

Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is thrilled to offer you folks this absolutely gorgeous, all numbers matching, rotisserie restored & fully documented 1972 Chevrolet Nova ‘SS’, finished in its factory correct (Code 53) Placer Gold, wrapped around a perfect black vinyl bench-seat interior w/ factory 4-Speed transmission! This was the color combination that Chevrolet used on all of their advertisements in 1972 for the Nova ‘SS’.

This beautiful car was the recipient of a no-expense spared rotisserie restoration, and the final result is nothing short of breathtaking! All of the original 100% rust-free sheet metal is laser straight all of the way around the car, and the factory correct (Code 53) Placer Gold paint is simply flawless! The paint & bodywork is second to none, and you really have to see this car in person to appreciate how truly beautiful this color combo really is! All of the chrome & stainless trim is show quality throughout. The body panels fit beautifully with all gaps perfectly aligned. You will rarely if ever see a Chevy Nova w/ such spectacular paint & bodywork! She’s also got the perfect stance, sitting on correct 14” steel wheels w/ poverty caps, wrapped with brand new Goodyear Polyglas E70-14 tires, just like she left the factory wearing! The undercarriage is beautifully detailed, and is as nice as the topside with all new factory correct components throughout! She looks as though she just rolled off the assembly line.

When you open the driver’s door and slide inside, you will swear that it is 1972 all over again! The factory correct black vinyl bench-seat interior is simply perfect with concours touches throughout. All of the factory original gauges, lights, blinkers, etc. work perfectly, as does the original clock & push-button AM Radio. The only item that is not factory is the FM Converter mounted under the dash, but I was reluctant to remove it. It is a period-correct unit by Audiovox, mounted w/ two small screws, but it works perfectly & sounds great, so I thought I would let the new owner decide if it should be removed or not. Other than that, the interior is factory correct throughout & absolutely mint w/ no cracks, scratches, blemishes, etc. to be found anywhere. The correct Hurst shifter w/ correct white shifter ball tells you that she means business! Again, all interior components work perfectly as you would expect from a car of this caliber.

Open the hood, & nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay you will find the original numbers matching 350ci 4V engine, linked to the original numbers matching Saginaw 4-Speed transmission, which feeds power to the original numbers matching 10-Bolt Posi Rear Axle w/ 3.42 gears. All stampings on the motor, transmission & rear axle are 100% correct, & they of course match the factory original Protecto-Plate. This perfect 1972 Chevrolet Nova ‘SS’ starts w/ the flick of the wrist, and settles into a perfect idle. She runs, drives & performs wonderfully and is an absolute BLAST to drive! The factory Power Steering & factory Power Disc Brakes, as well as all new suspension components make driving effortless, smooth and extremely comfortable! She’s also got more power than you would think and will push you back in the seat hard when you lower your right foot down! She shifts through all four gears very smoothly and tracks straight & true down the road.
