Finished in its factory original (Code 65L) Dark Chestnut Metallic, wrapped around its factory original (Code 64W) Doeskin Custom interior, this beautiful pickup only has 47,845 original miles on the clock. The restoration work was done a few years back, which includes a professional repaint in its factory original Dark Chestnut Metallic, bed area restoration w/ new oak wood kit, complete engine re-build to factory specifications, complete transmission re-build to factory specifications, new shock absorbers, new brakes, new u-joints, all new hoses, heater re-core, radiator re-core & flush, new dual exhaust system (originally single exhaust), McGaughys 2” drop-spindle (front), and McGaughys 2” drop-shackles (rear). All of the original sheet metal is super-straight all of the way around the truck, and the Dark Chestnut Metallic paint is absolutely beautiful w/ a lustrous shine. The white painted bumpers (front & rear) really pop against the Dark Chestnut Metallic paint, and add a wonderful contrast. The 2” drop on this truck really gives it the ‘perfect’ stance and makes all the difference in the world. She sits on the original 15” white painted steel wheels w/ chrome Bowtie hubcaps, wrapped w/ Uniroyal Tiger Paw GTS radial tires (P255/70/R15 on the rear & P235/70/R15 up front). It doesn’t matter what angle that you view this truck from, it always looks outstanding!

Open the driver’s door, and you will find a beautiful bone-stock Doeskin Custom interior that will take you back to 1981 in an instant! The interior is 100% factory original, w/ the only exceptions being the new carpeting, and the new steering wheel that was installed during the restoration process (the original steering wheel goes w/ the truck). The interior is in excellent condition throughout, and the light Doeskin interior really looks wonderful against the Dark Chestnut Metallic paint. All of the original gauges, lights, blinkers, AM/FM radio, etc. are in perfect working condition as well. This really is a beautiful pickup truck!

Pop open the hood and you will find the original rebuilt 305ci 2V motor looking exactly as it did nearly 40 years ago. Everything under the hood is bone-stock just like it was when it left the factory back in 1981. The motor is linked to the original rebuilt TH-350 automatic transmission, which feeds power to the original 2.56 rear axle. She fires up instantly, settling into a nice smooth idle, and she runs & drives beautifully in every way. I must say that the new dual-exhaust system sounds amazing on this truck. The factory power steering & factory power front disc brakes make driving around town effortless, and when you get her out on the highway, she tracks straight & true, just as you would expect from a truck of this caliber. The new owner will also receive the original owner’s manual, original 1981 Chevrolet Light-Duty Truck Service Manual, original 1981 Chevrolet Unit Repair Manual, and an original 1981 Chevy Pickups Dealership Brochure.
