2000 Plymouth Prowler

SOLD!

‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is very happy to offer you this absolutely gorgeous 2000 Plymouth Prowler! This two-owner Prowler was originally sold brand new @ Halpert Chrysler Plymouth in Willoughby, Ohio, and stayed w/ the original owner up until 2018, when a good friend of ours purchased the car w/ only 852 original miles, and brought it to Arizona.

For those of you who have been living under a rock for the past 20 years, the Plymouth Prowler is a retro-styled production car, manufactured & marketed by DaimlerChrysler from 1997 to 2002. Chrysler engineers were given free rein to design whatever they wanted in a ‘Hot Rod’ type vehicle, and Thomas C. Gale’s (Chrysler's Design Director) love for ‘30s-era Hot Rods inspired the Prowler’s retro-styled design. Gale, who had a 1932 Ford Hot Rod in his garage, approved the rod-inspired Plymouth Prowler as the company's follow-up show-stopper to the Dodge Viper. An early influence is credited to a Chrysler-sponsored project at the Art Center College of Design that resulted in a thesis by Douglas ‘Chip’ Foose, that included drawings of a retro-roadster. Foose originally designed it as a coupe but then modified it to a roadster version. Well as the saying goes, the rest is history.

Finished in Prowler Black Clear Coat, and according to the original window sticker, factory options on this beautiful 2000 Plymouth Prowler include: Air Conditioning, 6-Disc CD Changer, AM/FM/Cassette Stereo, Power Windows, Power Door Locks, Leather-Wrapped Steering Wheel, Cruise Control, Tachometer, Keyless Entry w/ (2) Transmitters, Auto Day/Night Mirror w/ Trip Computer, 20” x 10” Chrome Wheels on the rear, and 17” x 17.5” Chrome Wheels up front, wrapped w/ fat Goodyear Eagle GS-D radial tires. This beautiful Plymouth Prowler has obviously led a very pampered existence, and w/ only 1,350 original miles driven since new, it has barely begun its life. I have always thought that the Prowler looks the best in black, and this gorgeous example is certainly no exception. The Prowler Black Clear Coat paint is in ‘excellent’ condition, w/ a deep lustrous shine throughout. The black soft-top is also in ‘excellent’ condition and looks new in every way.

Open the driver’s door and you will find the original dark grey leather interior that is just as ‘mint’ as the rest of the car. All of the electrical components such as original gauges, tachometer, lights, blinkers, AC, sound system, etc., are in perfect working condition throughout. Pop open the hood and you’ll find the original 24-valve 3.5 Liter SOHC V6 engine, linked to the original 4-speed w/ overdrive automatic transmission. These cars are a real BLAST to drive, and are the closest thing to a factory ‘Hot Rod’ that any American automobile manufacturer has ever created.

The new owner will receive every single piece of paperwork that came w/ the car when delivered new, including: (2) original window stickers (one is laminated), original owner’s manual, original owner’s manual addendum, original warranty booklets & cards, odometer statement, Goodyear Eagle GS-D warranty brochure, customer arbitration pamphlet, 24-hour roadside assistance brochure, (2) original key fobs/keys, as well as a copy of the spotless CARFAX.

I could go on and on, but I will simply let the photos do the talking. If you have been searching for a super-low mile, ‘mint’ condition Plymouth Prowler, well it’s safe to say that you have found your car!
