2001 Ford F-150 SVT Lightning

This super-cool little pickup has a very interesting history, as it was previously owned by Sam Foose, father of legendary car designer Chip Foose. Sam used this Ford Lightning as a daily driver for years until one day he started having engine trouble. That’s when his son Chip stepped up and took the truck to his facility to do some customizing work as a present for his father. The first thing he did was to install a brand new 5.4L Ford Lightning crate engine (short block), and reassembled the engine to factory specifications, along w/ all new filters, hoses, belts, etc. The original transmission was also completely gone through & completely rebuilt, along w/ the air conditioning system. Other upgrades include: new shocks absorbers, new disc brakes, new K&N air-filter assembly, and a new Flowmaster exhaust system, which sounds awesome. After that was done, he took it back to his shop and began customizing the truck for his dad. He started by repainting the truck in a beautiful two-tone black & silver w/ a red stripe, which looks outstanding. He then installed a new Gaylord tonneau cover, and covered the bed w/ Linex spray-on bed liner. Then of course, he mounted a new set of 20” Foose Knuckle wheels wrapped w/ new Accelera Iota ST68 radial tires (275/45/R20).

Open the driver's door, and you will see that he removed the original cloth seats, and installed a beautiful two-tone grey leather interior that really looks wonderful, and is super comfortable. All of the original gauges, lights, blinkers, air conditioning/heat, etc., are all in perfect working condition. A Tekonsha Sentinel Brake Controller was added in case you want to tow your trailer, boat, or whatever you choose.

After his father passed away, Chip sold the Lightning to a good friend of mine from Newport, Oregon, who has owned several of Foose’s custom cars. Due to a shortage of space, my friend recently sent the truck to us to sell for him, so it now sits on our showroom floor here in St. George, Utah, and is ready for a brand new owner. She fires up instantly, and she runs, drives & performs beautifully in every way. The new owner will receive the original owner’s manual & owner manual supplements, several receipts for work performed, (2) original key fobs & (2) original sets of keys, a copy of the title in Sam Alvin Foose’s name, and a copy of the spotless CARFAX, which we just ran this week.
