Are you searching for a classic Ford pickup, that was built the way that they did them back in the 1950’s? Well, I think I have just the truck for you.
‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is very happy to offer you this super-cool 1935 Ford Hot Rod Pickup, built by Kyle Lauman @ Night Shift Kustoms here in St. George, Utah. This all-steel pickup was built from the ground up, w/ the idea of creating a one-of-a-kind traditional style vintage truck that could be driven and enjoyed to the fullest. No frills, no gimmicks, just a mean looking hot rod pickup that will get up and go! Well, let’s just say that they were successful on all levels. It all started w/ an original 1935 Ford cab & 1935 Ford grille that had been in storage for a quite a while waiting for just the right kind of project such as this. The frame was custom built from scratch by a local old-school hot-rodder, as was the truck’s bed, which also houses a 16-gallon fuel cell. Original Guide headlights w/ LED projector bulbs were installed up front, and Model A style ‘STOP taillights were added out back. The body was then lathered in Tunnel-Ram Gray Metallic by Hot Rod Flatz, which looks excellent on this truck. All of the suspension components underneath are from Speedway, including the 5” drop axle, I-beam front suspension, 3-link rear end w/ coil-overs, and front disc brakes. She has a perfect stance, and rolls on 15” Weld Racing wheels wrapped w/ BF Goodrich TA radial tires (P265/70/R15 on the rear & 165/80/R15 up front). You can walk around this truck a hundred times and it looks great from every angle.
Open the driver’s door and you’ll find a super-clean custom interior that fits the style of the pickup in every way. Interior features include: custom grey vinyl-knit Victorian style hi-back seat w/ matching door panels, body-colored dash w/ full set of Stewart Warner gauges, Ididit 40-Ford style steering column, vintage 3-spoke wood steering wheel, and grey carpeting throughout. Clean, comfortable and fully functional in every way.
Powering this ’35 Ford pickup is a new GM Performance 350ci/330hp HO crate motor dressed up w/ aluminum valve covers w/ Bowtie Chevrolet logos, and featuring high-flow Vortec heads, hydraulic flat-tappet camshaft, GM medium rise aluminum intake manifold, Holley 650cfm carburetor, twisted Sanderson SBC headers, and a Griffin aluminum radiator w/ 16” fan. The motor is linked to a Tremec T56 6-speed manual transmission w/ a McLeod hydraulic clutch, which feeds power to the asphalt-shredding Ford 9” rear end. She fires up instantly w/ a flick of the wrist, settling into a nice smooth idle, and she runs, drives & performs beautifully! This little pickup is an absolute blast to drive, is extremely quick, and gets a ton of attention anywhere she goes! She is titled as a 1935 Ford pickup, so registration and insurance are no problem at all.
Again, if you have been searching for a one-of-a-kind vintage Ford truck that will separate you from all of the others out there, and also one that won’t break the bank, it would be hard to beat this beautiful 1935 Ford Hot Rod Pickup!
