Red Hills Rods and Choppers Inc. is very proud to bring you this gorgeous 1947 Ford Deluxe Convertible, professionally built in 1990 by world famous hot rodder Roy Brizio. This ’47 Ford is an absolute knockout and drives even better than it looks. The original all-steel Ford body is 100% rust-free and is as solid as they come. She was chopped 2”, nosed, decked, smoothed and shaved, and has frenched LED taillights. All of the body panels are laser straight from front to back and from top to bottom. The firewall and rocker panels were completely smoothed out and the bumpers were narrowed & shortened. A V-Butt Windshield was installed which looks awesome. The body was painted in Ford (Code E4) Vermillion Red PPG and was then buffed & polished to a mirror-like finish. The paint looks a mile deep and literally glows in the sunlight. The Black Folding Convertible Top is made from Mercedes Cloth and is in mint condition. The top looks outstanding when it is up, so on those rainy days you will still look cool! Sid Chavers designed & installed the custom Gray Leather Interior w/ Gray Tweed Carpeting, and the first thing you notice is how comfortable it is, with the Gray Leather Bucket Seats as soft & supple as can be. The door panels, kick panels and front/rear consoles are also designed in Custom Leather. The custom pinstriped dash is by Gene Winfield, with his signature on the right side corner. She’s got all of the creature comforts including: full set of VDO Night Vision gauges including the Tachometer, Tilt-Steering Column w/ Leather Wrapped Billet Steering Wheel, Vintage AC & Heat, Billet Door Handles, Billet Window Cranks, Power Windows and JVC AM/FM/CD Sound System (hidden in the front console) w/ a Sony CD Changer (hidden in the trunk). Again, the interior is super-comfortable with all necessities within hands reach. The trunk is finished in matching Gray Tweed Carpeting w/ custom painted Von Dutch style Fire Extinguisher. Open the hood and nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay is a balanced & blueprinted Ford 302 ci motor, which was bored .030 to 306 ci and custom painted and detailed to show quality standards. The motor is linked to a built Ford C-4 w/ 2000 stall, which feeds power to an 8” Ford rear-end w/ 2.79 gears for comfortable driving. Even with the long gears, this drivetrain runs super-strong with plenty of power & torque, and the automatic transmission shifts as smooth as silk. The Power Rack & Pinion Steering and Power Disc Brakes make driving effortless. The Mustang front suspension & Heidts Cross Member give you that ‘floating on air’ feeling. She starts, idles, runs, drives, steers and brakes beautifully and is an absolute blast to drive! She sits on American Racing Hopster Wheels (16×8 on the rear & 16×7 up front) w/ Goodyear Tires all the way around, and looks as good sitting as it does cruising down the road. Again, Roy Brizio built this 1947 Ford Deluxe Convertible to drive & enjoy but still be able to win a First Place trophy at any national level car event that you decide to enter. A thick binder full of receipts/paperwork on the build of this 1947 Ford Deluxe Convertible goes with the car. She simply has it all: outstanding good looks, great performance and reliable enough to drive from coast to coast if need be. You cannot go wrong investing in a perfect Hot Rod such as this.
