C-10 Pro-Touring

SOLD!

Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is proud to offer you this absolutely amazing 1968 Chevrolet C10 Pro-Touring Pickup, build by the master craftsmen @ Speedtech Performance in Saint George, Utah. Speedtech Performance is a SEMA award-winning custom car shop from Canada, that moved to Southern Utah in 2012. Located in a 20,000 square foot full service facility, Speedtech offers over 200 unique manufactured in-house suspension packages and LS/ T-56 swap parts. Speedtech Performance has stayed true to their original goals, most recently taking the Pro-Touring world to an entirely new level through their new line of ExtReme chassis & suspension products.

The guys @ Speedtech were itching to create a custom hauler for some time and needed a good excuse to develop some brand new suspension parts for the ‘67-‘72 Chevrolet C10 crowd. This little ’68 C10 wandered into the shop looking like it had had a pretty tough life, and after waiting patiently in the corner for several months the truck finally emerged along with a pretty serious game plan. This truck was built from the ground up entirely by Speedtech Performance’s custom shop. The entire build was documented w/ an extensive volume of photos from day one. Countless man-hours were spent making sure that all of the sheet metal was laser straight and all body panels perfectly aligned. It was painted in single stage Gloss Black, which was color sanded & buffed. The areas in White are a wrap, which can be easily removed at any time if you so choose. All windows are flush mount & tinted grey, and the vent windows in the doors were removed. The bed floor was raised 4” and the tubs were widened 4” to accommodate the Forgeline GT3C wheels (19” up front & 20” on the rear), which are wrapped w/ Michelin Pilot Super Sport tires. Instead of simply adapting their suspension to its old battered frame, they decided to start fresh w/ undoubtedly the finest chassis & suspension on the market today, Speedtech’s new ExtReme suspension program. Along with their new ExtReme Camaro & Nova sub-frames, as well as their Chevelle & Tri-5 full frames, these new C10 frames offer a super low stance & fully optimized suspension geometrically based around their next generation ATS tall spindle. And for the first time ever in a truck, they used their famous Torque Arm based 3-link out back. The chassis build & construction is featured in Street Truck Magazine C10 Builders Guide Spring 2017. The Speedtech ExtReme chassis consists of: strong box welded construction, Ultimate Suspension Geometry for Street AutoCross and Road Race, Speedtech’s exclusive proprietary ExtReme Forged Aluminum Spindle, High travel Coil-over suspension w/ Viking double adjustable coil overs, Speedway Engineering adjustable splined 3-piece sway bars front & rear, and Torque Arm rear suspension.

Other build features include: custom built GM LS3 motor by ‘Texas Speed’ producing 560hp, ‘Hughes Performance’ 4L65E automatic transmission w/ Compushift controller, ‘Ron’s Rear Ends’ nodular 9” rear end w/ TruTrack, ‘Dutchman Motorsports’ 9” housing, ‘Rick’s Tanks’ Stainless Steel fuel tank designed by Speedtech w/ GM ZR1 Camaro fuel pump, ‘Performance Rod and Custom’ Aluminum Radiator w/ dual fans designed by Speedtech, Ultimate 321 Stainless 1 7/8” long tube headers designed by Speedtech, ‘Mark Williams’ 4” 6061 aluminum drive shaft, ‘Baer Brakes’ Pro Plus 14” 6-piston disc brakes w/ machined Speedtech logos, full custom leather interior by Scott Tesch @ Stitch Craft, Cypher racing seats, power windows, custom gauge & dash insert designed by Speedtech, full set of Speedhut gauges, heavily modified 2014 GMC center console, Alpine custom sound system w/ 10” mounted subwoofer, Vintage Air Conditioning w/ Billet controls, and on & on! There is simply WAY too much to list! This custom Pro-Touring truck was built to test, prove and show off the new ExtReme line of suspension & chassis. It has competed in numerous national events, including the Good Guys AutoCross, where it won ‘First Place’ twice in its class, as well as the Optima Ultimate Street Car Invitational, where it was the fastest truck at the event! It was also shown @ Muscle Cars at the Strip where it finished ‘First‘ in its class, and was a ‘Feature Truck’ at SEMA 2015! This awesome 1968 Chevrolet C-10 Pro-Touring Pickup is most likely the ‘fastest’ road legal C10 anywhere in the country, and you would spend at least $160,000 to replicate it as it sits. She starts, idles, runs, drives & performs flawlessly in every way, and is a BLAST to drive! I was absolutely amazed at how comfortable this truck is, as I did not expect that from such a performance based pickup! With an awesome sound system and ice-cold Vintage AC, you have all of the creature comforts that you need! It has been driven 848 miles since the completion of the build, so there are some scattered blemishes on the white wrap areas from honest use, but again the wrap can easily be removed if you choose to do so. It is very well tested and completely sorted out, so whether you want to cruise the car shows or win awards at any national AutoCross event, you are ready to roll! Again, all of the build documentation & photos will go to the new owner!

Simply stated: if you have been searching for one of the baddest street-legal Chevrolet C10 pickups on the planet, look no further because you’ve found your truck!
