The restoration/build was completed in 2022, and only 168 shake-down miles have been put on the truck since completion. Finished in two-tone Hugger Orange & White w/ deluxe side moldings, the bodywork and paint are absolutely stellar throughout. The inner-fenders were painted Hugger Orange, LED headlights were added up front, the bed area is finished w/ Red Oak Wood & chrome slats, the fuel tank was relocated to the rear w/ the fuel-filler in the bed, and all of the glass is smoked. She has a perfect low-stance, and sits on beautiful 15” custom Fuel wheels, wrapped w/ BF Goodrich TA Radial tires (P275/60/R15). You can walk around this truck a hundred times and it looks perfect from every angle. The undercarriage is super clean and beautifully detailed from front to back, w/ its fully restored original frame (see photos).
Open the driver’s door and you will find an absolutely beautiful custom interior, featuring a black TMI Pro-Series Sport 60″ Bench Seat w/ orange stitching, TMI dash pad, original body-colored dash w/ Dakota Digital VHX series gauges, Classic Auto air-conditioning system w/ in-dash louver vents, stainless-steel tilt steering column w/ billet levers, Flashpower billet steering wheel, 22” Lokar shift lever, RetroSound Bluetooth radio, Holley Sniper EFI control module mounted in the glove box, black loop carpeting throughout, and (2) sets of black seat belts. Not only is the interior absolutely beautiful, but it is super comfortable and fully functional in every way.
When you pop open the hood, the first thing you will notice is the smoothed firewall and beautiful metal work that was done throughout the engine bay, which looks outstanding. Residing inside the engine bay is a built 454ci 4-bolt main BBC engine (casting # 14015445), bored .30 over, lathered in Chevy orange paint w/ black Chevrolet valve covers & matching air cleaner assembly. Other features include a Comp Cams camshaft (Lift .555/.552), Comp Cams high-performance pushrods, Pro Comp heads, ARP head bolts, 7416 LS6 crankshaft, aluminum intake manifold, Holley Sniper EFI fuel injection kit, chrome Serpentine belt kit, JDMSpeed high performance spark plug wires, Wilwood master brake cylinder, heavy-duty aluminum radiator w/ dual 12″ spal fans, radiator support filler kit, etc. The motor is linked to a TH400 automatic transmission built by Kerry Holmgren, which feeds power to the asphalt-shredding 12-bolt Posi rear end w/ 3.73 gears.
This truck fires up instantly, and runs, drives & performs beautifully in every way. She produces approximately 450hp, and is an absolute BLAST to drive. The custom 2.5” stainless steel exhaust system w/ Series 40 mufflers sounds amazing, and the front disc brakes help to stop this pickup on a dime.
