The term, one-of-a-kind, gets tossed around a lot in the custom car world and most of the time the claim holds no water whatsoever. The same cannot be said about this incredible, one-of-a-kind 1969 Chevrolet C10 Custom Show Truck! Well over $100K was spent building this incredible wartime masterpiece named “Second Chance, and it has been featured on several magazine covers. You really have to see this truck in person to understand how awesome this truck really is. The craftsmanship is second to none and every time that you look at the truck, you see something new. It’s quite hard to know where to start when describing a custom vehicle such as this, but I will give it a go. The chassis is all custom-built starting with an OEM frame w/ the exhaust system running through the frame to keep it completely hidden and exits through the body on both sides of the bed. The front end has tubular A-arms w/ air bags and CPP spindles that were chopped 2 ½”. The rear section was notched 8” for the dual compressors for the air ride system. The original 1969 Chevrolet C10 body was all shaved and filled w/ the tailgate smoothed into the body. The Olive Drab Green paint has a gloss finish and looks absolutely incredible. The floor of the bed was raised 3” to accommodate the notched frame and the bed is finished in a varnished oak flooring with literally thousand of rivets on the aluminum & copper plating. Two chrome bombs were placed in the center of the bed for full effect and the taillights and roll pan are all custom. Pop open the driver door and your eyes will literally pop out of your head! The interior is completely customized from the floor to the headliner. The seats were hand built in the old WWII Bomber look w/ the same riveted aluminum & copper plating to match the bed. The craftsmanship is mind blowing to say the least! Other features include: riveted aluminum & copper plated dash w/ full set of ‘Aviation Gauges’, riveted aluminum & copper plated console w/ built-in custom sound system, Vintage Air Conditioning & Heat, Billet Specialties steering wheel and on and on. The man-hours that it takes to complete an interior like this is mind-boggling! Now, let’s get to the heart of the Beast! Under the hood, this bad-boy is powered by a Blown Chevrolet 427 ci motor built by Big Al’s Toy Shop. Features include: Polished & Ported Dart Heads, Dart 8.5 to 1 Blower Pistons, 871 Blower, Crower Rods, Comp Solid-Roller Camshaft, dual Mighty Demon Blower Carburetors, MSD Distributor & Ignition Box w/ Boost Retard, Billet Specialties Valve Covers, Custom Billet Serpentine System and on and on. This powerhouse was dynoed @ 750 hp and 800 Lbs. Ft Torque! A huge Ron Davis Radiator w/ 16” fans keep her running cool in any type of weather. This incredible motor is linked to a Hughes built 700R4 w/ Hughes 2900 Stall Converter and a 10-Bolt rear end w/ Strange Axles & 4.10 gears. To say this incredible truck will blast off of the line is a gross understatement! She literally flies and the huge 6-Piston Wilwood Brakes on all four corners will stop her on a dime. She starts, runs, steers & brakes beautifully and is an absolute blast to drive. She sits on Intro Speedstar Wheels (22X10 on the rear & 20X8 on the front) w/ Nitto Tires. Of course you can adjust the stance any way you like with the full Air Ride System and she looked awesome dropped all of the way down! Again, this 1969 Chevrolet C10 Custom Pickup is a one-of-a-kind and will not be duplicated. You are guaranteed to win a First Place trophy at any national level car / truck event that you enter or you can take it to the strip and blow everyone’s mind! This is a very special truck, period.
