‘Red Hills Rods & Classics’ is thrilled to offer you this absolutely gorgeous 1965 Ford Mustang Fastback, finished in its factory correct (Code J) Rangoon Red exterior wrapped around a gorgeous factory correct black bucket seat interior. The ’65 Mustang Fastback is certainly one of the most iconic muscle car body styles ever produced, period! Visually stunning from every angle, the ’65 Mustang Fastback is on top of most folks ‘must have’ list before they go to Valhalla.
This beautiful example is a rust-free Southern Utah car that underwent a complete nut & bolt restoration in 2012. They originally wanted to do a GT recreation, but the owner decided not to add the GT stripes & GT emblems. The GT stripes & emblems will be included in the purchase, in case the new owner wants to add them. They did use the GT fuel cap, which I think looks great. The 100% rust-free sheet metal is super straight all the way around, and the factory correct Rangoon Red paint is simply gorgeous, and appears to be a mile deep. All of the chrome & stainless trim is show quality throughout. The correct red oxide undercarriage is fully detailed from front to back, and 100% show worthy.
When you open the driver’s door and slide into the perfect & factory correct black bucket seat interior you can’t help but feel like it’s 1965 all over again! All of the gauges, lights, blinkers, etc. work perfectly and the factory Air Conditioning blows nice & cold! The only upgrades are the in-dash AM/FM/USB radio, which appears factory stock w/ the USB connection under the dash for your ipod or smart phone, a JL Audio Power Amplifier (under the passenger seat), and (4) custom installed Nertz speakers plus Sub Woofer. This system sounds great, and was installed in a way which can be can be easily reversed to bring the car back to 100% original! Other than that, she appears bone-stock throughout. Please look closely at the photos and I think you will agree that this interior is simply perfect.
Open the hood and nestled inside the beautiful detailed engine bay you will find the correct 289ci motor linked to a correct 4-speed Top Loader manual transmission. This is a factory (C-code) 2V car, but it was decided to add a correct 4-barrel carburetor during the extensive restoration. She starts, idles, runs, drives & performs beautifully in every way, and is an absolute BLAST to drive! She has plenty of power & torque, and the Top-Loader transmission shifts smooth & tight through all four gears! On the freeway she drives straight & true, with no issues whatsoever. Driving around town, you better be ready for attention because this gorgeous ’65 Mustang Fastback draws a crowd everywhere it goes!
