GTO Judge Ram Air III

SOLD!

Wow! Another outstanding muscle car has arrived @ ‘Red Hills Rods and Choppers’, to cap off a summer full of amazing cars! This gorgeous, all numbers matching and heavily documented 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge Ram Air III enjoys a high profile in the Pontiac community as one of the finest in the entire country, and is featured prominently in the book: ‘GTO: Pontiac’s Great One’. The original owner, Sandra Knox, owned this beautiful GTO Judge for nineteen years (1970-1989) before finally selling her baby w/ just 39,420 miles on the odometer. Sandra was a fanatic about keeping every piece of paperwork & receipt, as well as documenting every little thing that she did with her GTO Judge. From the first day she took delivery of the car, she kept notes on every time she got gas, how much gas she put in and the current mileage. She also kept track of every oil change or any maintenance needed w/ dates, etc. She did this for 19 years, up to the point when she sold the car in 1989 to Mr. John Gust, with a little over 39K miles. After learning how diligent Sandra was about her record keeping, John started doing the same type of accounting immediately after he bought the car. He enjoyed his GTO Judge for 12-13 years and then decided he would take his car to ‘Best Of Show’ in Chicago, Illinois for a full frame-off rotisserie restoration. None of the original sheet metal needed to be replaced and no patchwork needed to be done whatsoever. In regards to the interior, only the carpeting & rear package tray had to be replaced, so basically 95% of the original interior is still present! Westech, out of Silver Lake Wisconsin, handled the job of rebuilding the Judge’s original numbers matching 400ci/366hp Ram Air III engine and original numbers matching Muncie M20 4-Speed transmission, both of which retain all of the major original components. The 100% original sheet metal is laser straight all of the way around the car, and the factory correct (Code P) Palladium Silver paint is absolutely beautiful. When you slide into the interior you will swear that it’s 1970 all over again! The original (Code 250) Blue Bucket Seat Interior w/ Console is absolutely gorgeous. It is one of the finest original interiors that I have ever seen on a classic car. Open the hood and nestled inside the beautifully detailed engine bay is the original numbers matching 400/366hp Ram Air III motor linked to the original numbers matching Muncie M20 wide-ratio 4-Speed transmission which feeds power to the original 3.55 Safe-T-Track rear axle. All of the major components under the hood are original to the car, such as: heads, carburetor, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, etc. She starts, idles, runs, drives & performs perfectly in every way and is an absolute BLAST to drive! After the full frame-off restoration was completed, the Judge became more of a show car and is driven only on special occasions. She now sits on our showroom floor here in Saint George, Utah, with 40,050 original miles on the odometer. Remember, the original owner, Sandra Knox, sold the car in 1989 with 39,420 original miles, which means that this GTO Judge has only been driven 630 miles in 25 years! This exceptional GTO Judge won the ‘Outstanding in Class’ Award at the World of Wheels and has taken numerous popular vote awards at the annual “Indian Uprising “ held by the Cruisin’ Tigers GTO Club. It was the featured car in the debut episode of ‘V8TV’ and appears prominently in the hardcover book ‘GTO: PONTIAC’S GREAT ONE’ by Darwin Holmstrom & David Newhardt. This incredible 1970 GTO Judge has it all: documented low miles, a stunning frame-off restoration, incredible provenance and full history, all making it a prime candidate for taking home top honors at the prestigious GTO Nationals. To top it all off, it is the most documented muscle car that I have had in nearly 20 years of selling classic cars, which includes: Original Window Sticker, Original Pre-Delivery Inspection, Original Dealer Invoice, Original Finance Contract, Original Warranty Booklet w/ Original Protecto-Plate, Original Owners Manual, Original Temporary Registration from Purchase, Original Registration Stubs from 1970-1989, Original Insurance Cards from 1970-1989, Original GM Shipping Punch Card, Original Ziebart Rust-Proofing Receipt, Original Ignition/Hanger Card, Original GM of Canada Build Sheet and Full PHS Documentation. This documentation is accompanied by complete owner history, which includes the mileage logs from original owners, handwritten testaments & historic facts, photograph of original owner w/ the Judge, and on & on! Again, I have never seen such extensive documentation on any classic car, period! This special 1970 Pontiac GTO Judge has everything you look for in an investment grade classic car: all original sheet metal, all original driveline, bullet-proof provenance from day one, not to mention incredible good looks!
